On Saturday afternoon of Reunion weekend, our class gathered in the chapel for a
Memorial Service in remembrance of the lives of the valued friends no longer with
us. The service, led by classmates, was ecumenical in spirit, with spiritual readings
chosen for their meaning and beauty. In an In Memoriam section, the names of 55
classmates were read by class officers. Our classmate Kerala Johnson Snyder, an
accomplished musician and professional organist, played a prelude, interlude and
postlude on Wellesley's Fisk Organ during the service and provided a short organ
recital afterwards. Those attending were able to follow and participate in the readings
with a booklet that now serves as a keepsake and memento of Reunion. Those attending
agreed the service was quite moving and meaningful.
